We just celebrated Christmas!! It was a fun holiday... we spent the month having Christmas... Granny and Grandpa came to visit... we had Christmas with them! It was so much fun seeing you all interact with them. They LOVEd you!! Granny loved holding you Annaliese and doing puzzles with you Trinity. And Grandpa LOVED playing trains with you Jackson. We then went to Grass Valley to have Christmas with the Sulonens. IT was madness.. but you all LOVED the time with the cousins and time on the farm.. we went hiking.. you collected the eggs and fed the horses... Jackson you came back from feeding the horses and told me that you like horsey food.. then you opened up your mouth real wide and wiggled your tounge back and forth! I LOVE when you do that!! Jackson your favorite gift this year was Mac from the movie CARS. Trinity your favorite gift I think was Tiana from Princess and the frog.. and of course your christmas dress from Mema. Annaliese your favorite gift this christmas... well... I think you really liked your glow worm...hard to say since you don't talk!! I so want our Christmas's to reflect Christ. It is very hard to not get caught up in the comercialism of this holiday. I pray that you all remember the true gift of Jesus and his birth!!
In two day is Jackson's 3rd birthday!! I am excited to give you your presents!! we are getting you Thomas Book.. Lightening Mcqueen books.. a tool set.. and a cool build it yourself helicopter set thingy... I can't believe that you are 3 already! It is amazing to me that you are speaking so well... you graduated from your therapy.. and I am so happy at how well you are doing. I love to give you "long kisses". You make my day Jackson!!!

our christmas letter:
What a year this has been, full of changes and tremendous joy! We are thankful that our God, who is constant, never changes. Some of the many changes that took place this last year was purchasing and moving into our new home, going through speech therapy twice a week with Jackson, starting on the adventure of homeschooling Trinity, Sean being assigned to the Downtown Enforcement Team (D.E.T)
and welcoming our baby girl Annaliese into our family.
We have been so blessed to have been able to purchase our home a year ago this Thanksgiving. We have enjoyed being homeowners and Liz has LOVED decorating the house with all sorts of fun colors. We have made wonderful friendships with our neighbors and feel totally blessed to finally be in our home.
Around Jackson’s second birthday we started to see that Jackson was having difficulty communicating and understanding. We began the process of getting him evaluated to see what the problems were. He ended up having a significant receptive and expressive speech delay. The Lord provided wonderful in home therapy twice a week for an entire year. That has proved to be such a blessing for him.. and for our family. There is hardly any delays for him now and is able to communicate extremely well and is a chatter box! We are so thankful for our son. He is full of energy and has a zest for life. He is also filled with such love and compassion.
Homeschooling Trinity has been such fun!! She is in Kindergarten and is thriving. Homeschooling has definitely been a learning process for us all. We are sure it has taught us more patience, love, and dedication than it has taught her academically. Sean has been volunteering in her one day a week campus day class and plans on teaching a class next semester. Sean’s favorite part of going to school with Trinity is holding hands with her as they walk to class.
Sean put in for the D.E.T about 6 months ago is and loving it! He now patrols on a bicycle with 3 other officers and a Sergeant. The D.E.T has been able to assist in several high risk operations which Sean LOVES and Liz.. not so much. His job is challenging physically, mentally and spiritually. We are in constant praise for how the Lord continually protects Sean.
Annaliese was born August 10, 2010. She was 5 weeks premature and ended up staying in the ICN for a week after her birth. That was a very difficult time full of amazing challenge and abundant blessings. Thankfully she is a healthy, calm, cool and collected little addition to our family. Trinity and Jackson just adore her and always want to help... as much as they can!
As you can see this year has been a year of major change for our family but we are so thankful for all of it. Through the change, the trials and the struggle we can say we wouldn’t change a thing. The lessons God has taught us, the faith that has been renewed, and the blessings that have come from the change are priceless.
